2016 Warrior Weekend Celebration and Pro-Am

                      September 30 - October 3, 2016

To date, the Warrior Weekend Celebration and Pro-Am has been the largest event hosted by the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation.  Approximately 30 Wounded Warriors, with the largest contingent from Brooke Army Medical Center came to Tyler to enjoy relaxation and entertainment provided by the people of East Texas over an extended four-day weekend.  Many facets of the Tyler community came together to support and welcome these wonderful heroes with parties, gifts, a patriotic salute from the faculty and students at All Saints School, and you guessed it—lots of golf, of course!  This extended weekend event culminated with a Pro-Am golf tournament where area amateur golfers team up with professional golfers along with our Wounded Warrior guests and battle it out for the lowest scores.  Among some of our special guests this last year's event, include legendary Nashville guitarists Doyle Dykes, world-renowned magician Stephen Bargatze, top golf trick shot artist, Chuck "the Hit Man" Riter, Wounded Warrior Bryan Anderson, who stared in the movie, "American Sniper", General Dave Garza, USMC (retired), Admiral Mark Ferguson (retired), 1971 Masters Champion Charles Coody, and Chuck Dunbar, General Manager and Director of Golf Operations at Nicklaus Club-Monterey, CA.
